Description
These seeds produce a variety of Swiss chards with uniformly green leaves. Swiss chards are packed with nutrients and are highly flavourful- especially popular cooked in soups and stews.
Seeds can be sown in early spring, once the soil can be adequately worked (about 1′ deep) as chard is a bit more cold hardy than most plants. Sow 1/2″ deep in well-drained soil, 10″-12″ apart in rows about 18″ apart. Full to partial sun. Water regularly. A slow release fertilizer recommended to ensure adequate absorption.
