Description
These seeds produce a variety of chicory with white-ribbed red leaves, that grow in an oblong head. Chicory is packed with nutrients, and always makes a great compliment (or replacement) to lettuce in salads.
A little more cold hardy, this radicchio can be planted 2-3 weeks before the final seasonal frost and again in late summer for a fall harvest. Fall is actually when it grows best. Sow 1/4″ deep, 10″ -12″ apart, in rows about 18″ apart in well-drained soil. Full sun.
