These seeds produce a variety of chicory with deep red leaves, ribbed with white, that grow in a cabbage-like head. Chicory is packed with nutrients, and always makes a great compliment (or replacement) to lettuce in salads.
Sow 8-12″ apart in partial sun. Seeds should be sown 1/4″ deep. Radicchio can be sown in the spring for summer harvest or late summer for fall.
