These seeds produce a variety of endive with curly, green, thin leaves. Endives are a flavourful and crunchy, nutrient-rich addition to any salad or dish- even used in conjunction or as a replacement for lettuce.
Sow just beneath the surface, about 8-12″ apart in rows about 12-18″ apart. Full to partial sun. Water regularly, but try to avoid the leaves which are prone to rot if they get too wet. Mulch helps in retaining soil moisture.
