These seeds produce a classic variety of eggplant, with large, oblong fruits that are a striking purplish-black colour. Eggplant has been gaining popularity in recent years, and it tastes great grilled with a bit of garlic- especially when freshly picked from the garden.
Start indoors about 8 weeks prior to the last seasonal frost. Sow 1/4″ deep in moist soil. Full sun/heat lamp recommended. Harden before transplant. Sow to well worked soil – about 24-36″ apart, in rows 36″ or more. Water regularly. Mulch recommended.
