Bloody dock, also sometimes known as red-veined sorrel, is an attractive water plant prized for its green, round leaves with bright red veins. It serves as a wonderful accent to surround your pond with, blending well with red or pink waterlilies, or even adding a pop of colour on its own!
It is very low maintenance, and requires little to no care after it’s established. Plant it around your pond in full sun to partial shade. Ensure the soil remains consistently moist. Fertilize once a year, in the spring. It is a vigorous grower, so portions should be removed every now and then to ensure it doesn’t take over the pond
