Description
Zucchini is a delicious, crunchy vegetable that works well both raw and dipped in any variety of sauces, or cooked into any dish. This particular variety produces light green, long fruits, with a delectable, mild flavour. With similar requirements as cucumbers, zucchini is a perfect choice for any garden.
Growing zucchini is a pretty simple process. It should be planted in full sun, in a rich, well-draining soil. Add organic compost or manure to the soil, to add nutrients into it. They enjoy warm soil and air, so they should only be planted out when temperatures are consistently 15 degrees Celsius or above. You can add a sheet of black plastic or black mulch on top of the soil around the plant, to keep the roots warm. Keep the soil evenly moist, giving the plants about an inch of water a week.
