Care for pumpkins is similar to other squashes. Their soil should be kept moist and well-watered, particularly during dry periods in the summer. They require plenty of space, so ensure you plant them in a spot away from other plants. They require full sun. As with other squashes, pumpkins are heavy feeders and require a fertile soil. Add in organic compost or manure to enhance your soil before planting.
