Description

Buttercup squash is another delectable type of squash that is native to the Western Hemisphere. The flesh has sweet, buttery flavour, for which they’re named for. They taste delicious baked, steamed, or in almost any way you prep them! Undoubtedly, you won’t regret growing squash this year in your garden. They are an heirloom variety.

Buttercup squash has similar growing needs as other types of squash. They need well-draining and fertile soil, in full sun. Add in organic compost or manure to enrich your soil before planting. Water about 1-2 inches per week. Water under the leaves, to prevent disease and fungus from forming on the leaves.
