Hicks yew is a popular evergreen shrub, loved for both its attractive green foliage and its easy, no-fuss care. They make for ideal privacy hedges and accents to your garden! There are few other evergreens who will fulfill the same role as hick’s yew does.
Hicks yew can tolerate full sun to full shade, making them a good choice for practically anywhere in your garden. They are generally slow-growing, which means that upkeep and pruning can be kept to a minimum. Plant in a well-draining soil. Water well for the first few months- giving them a deep watering twice a week. After they are established, they are rather drought-tolerant, and only need to be watered when the soil dries out.
