Description
Citrus fruits are a staple in a multitude of cuisines around the world, used in everything from seasoning food to adding a sweet, sour kick to a cocktail! Limes are especially popular, and picked straight from the vine, they’ll be juicy, flavourful and aromatic, unlike any lime you’ve ever had. You won’t regret picking up a lime tree.
Growing limes is surprisingly simple. As they are tropical fruits, they will do best in a large container in our chilly Canadian climate. Place them in a location where they receive full sun. Ensure they have excellent drainage- any standing water will harm and potentially kill the tree. Water consistently, but not obsessively- they shouldn’t be allowed to dry out, nor should they ever stand in water. They can only tolerate temperatures upwards of 10 degrees Celsius.
