Description
Native to Europe and Western Asia, woodland sage is treasured for its large columns of showy, bright flowers. With fragrant and colourful blooms, these plants have dense, green foliage that is reminiscent of a patch of lettuce, to give the plant a whimsical and earthy look. Blooms typically occur between the late spring and early summer.
Care for these perennials is a little more specific than others, but it’s well worth it. They enjoy full sun, but young plants can tolerate some light shade. They have low water requirements- allow the plant to dry between waterings and be careful not to over water. It prefers moist soil with very good drainage.
