Description
Munstead lavender is a favourite amongst aromatherapists, with their gentle fragrance being used to soothe anxiety and aid insomnia. Perennial lavender in particular has a strong scent, but is inedible (unlike herb lavender), but will come back year after year- meaning you won’t have to keep replanting. The blooms are nonetheless gorgeous. In addition to human aromatherapy, lavender is very popular amongst bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds- making it an ideal choice for those wishing to create sanctuaries in their gardens.
Care for lavender is easy. It prefers full sun, and dry to medium moist soil, that is well-draining.
