Description
Moss phlox is a very popular perennial, much loved for its gorgeous ground cover and its easy care. When planted, creeping phlox will spread out amongst your garden and create a nice carpet of small, delicate flowers amongst needle-like green foliage. It looks excellent in rock gardens. It differs from creeping phlox in that it has denser foliage with shorter needles, creating a mossy appearance.
Care is very simple, as moss phlox isn’t a picky perennial. It will grow in virtually any soil, in full sun to part shade- giving you a very versatile range of possible planting locations. But, for best results, it enjoys a sunny location where soil is moist but well-drained. Start creeping phlox in poor soil and enrich with natural composts.
