Description
Armeria Maritima, also known as Sea Thrift, is a flowering perennial native to coastal North America and Europe, as the name may suggest. It tolerates poor soils, and in fact will rot in overly rich soil, as it is accustomed to seaside, salty soils. With long, thin foliage and bright pink flowers atop long stems, this is an eye-catching perennial that will certainly brighten up your garden.
Their care is simple, and they are a non-aggressive and non-invasive plant, as it remains rather compact- preferring to grow in height rather than in width. They enjoy full sun to part shade, but grows best in lots of light. It doesn’t enjoy soil that is too wet, and enjoys sandy soil.
