Description
With thick, waxy leaves, rubber plants are amongst some of the most common houseplants there are. They are perennially popular, as they tend to be hardy against all forms of neglect and abuse that a beginner gardener can throw at them- making these an excellent choice for those making their first foray into the world of houseplants!
They prefer bright, indirect or filtered light- a window with a sheer curtain will do best. It should be watered frequently in the spring and summer months, when it grows, and the soil should be kept moist. In the fall and winter, their dormant season, you should ease up on watering, maybe once or twice a month. Take care not to over water, and ensure the plant has good drainage.
