Description
Crossandra is an uncommon but gorgeous houseplant, originally native to Sri Lanka. With arrowhead shaped leaves, reminiscent of a coffee plant, the plant blooms bright orange flowers resembling a small flame or a firecracker. Undoubtedly, for those wanting a permanent centerpiece or accent in their home, crossandra is the best choice.
Care is simple. Place in bright, indirect light. Plant in rich, well-draining potting soil. Water often, and do not allow the soil to dry out. It loves heat, so it shouldn’t be placed in any areas with drafts or cooler temperatures- doing so can kill the plant.
