There truly is nothing like a good ol’ annual hanging basket to add a certain dimension and whimsical attitude to your garden.  New Guinea Impatiens are an excellent, long-blooming flower with sunny disposition that’ll last all summer long! There are few flowers that are so easy to care for, and so long lasting. In a hanging basket, they produce a uniform blanket over the top of the pot, like a little bucket of happiness.

Their care is rather easy. They do best in morning sun with afternoon shade. If it is an especially dry or hot summer, they will enjoy up to a full half-day of shade. They enjoy a well-draining potting soil. They are also heavy feeders, and as such should have plenty of organic matter and nutrients to feed on.
